Extending professional financial planning into our community builds awareness with the general public about our profession and its power to transform their lives.

We will come together to offer public awareness workshops and 1:1 Pro Bono financial planning (30 minute sessions) to community members seeking financial planning assistance on Saturday, November 2, 2019.

      Your commitment includes:

      • 45 min Info/Training Q&A Conference Call (date/time TBD) (will be recorded - can be listened to after the fact - you will receive a call invitation in your email inbox).
      • Your Signature on a Pro Bono volunteer agreement
      • Approximately 4 hours of availability on Saturday, November 2nd, to provide Pro Bono financial planning to community members seeking your help or host a Public Awareness workshop.
      Notes:
If you are a CFP(R) professional, but not an active chapter member, you are more than welcome to offer your skills and time for this event.  Our intention is to serve our greater community and to showcase the value of financial planning and our ability to transform lives.

      ________________

If you are ready to get your financial affairs in order, November's Financial Planning Day is a great time to begin.

Free to the public, our chapters' Public Awareness and Pro Bono Financial Planning events connect CFP(R) Professionals into our community.

Expect a series of workshops that help our attendees understand topics like how to manage a budget and create a spending plan, how to take control of your finances now in order to build a better future, how to manage your credit and debts and build a stronger credit score, how to pay for education and college, how to mitigate your largest risks. This list a sample of the types of financial topics you can learn about - when you register you can vote for the topic areas you most want to attend.

Expect access to solid, fact based information about how financial services are delivered and what you need to know as a wise consumer. Learn the top three questions to ask any potential financial advisor before you elect to work with them.

Want to meet with a Financial Planning Professional for a (free) 30 minute session - a chance to ask your specific questions? Just register in advance and watch for a confirmation email noting your reserved time slot. Then get to work thinking about where you most need some guidance - retirement planning - estate planning - taxes - insurance - paying for college - investments? Your CFP(R) professional has been tested and proven knowledgeable in a wide variety of critical financial subject areas.

No sales. No pitches. No obligations. No Nonsense. We are here to help our community and advance our profession by promoting broader financial literacy for every Arizonan.

Join us as we build greater awareness of FPA and the profession of financial planning overall with our Arizona state legislators.

Let’s show our elected officials that we can serve as a resource to them when it comes to financial issues and legislation, and also continue building our relationships with those who make decisions that affect our profession and our clients' financial lives and well being.

      What does this involve?

      • Participating in a 60 minute training conference call
      • Being in Phoenix at our delegated meeting location by 9 am for our team organizing session.
      • Preparing to effectively utilize material developed by FPA nationally for the day.
      • Meeting with your legislators’ in their offices and sharing with them how the FPA and the profession of financial planning impacts lives and futures for Arizona citizens for the better.
      • Smiling for Photo Shots and Celebrations of our teamwork!

We will complete our legislator appointments by 1 p.m.  We must clear out of our Museum Staging room by noon.

Please register to join by 5 pm on December 31st,  if you would like to participate and be able to reach out to your legislators and request an appointment timely enough to be likely to get an appointment with them.
