As chapter executives you work with the best of the best and see true, impactful volunteerism in action every day. As you may know, FPA is currently seeking nominations for the Heart of Financial Planning Award and P. Kemp Fain, Jr., Award and we encourage you to consider nominating an individual who is doing extraordinary work at your chapter.
The Heart of Financial Planning Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate commitment and passion in doing extraordinary work to contribute or give back to the financial planning community and/or the public. Notable individuals, organizations/firms, or groups working in the areas of FPA member education, FPA chapter support, financial literacy, professional innovation, community education, and other service-focused endeavors are excellent candidates for the award. This is among the highest honor awarded to members of the FPA community involved with service. The recipient(s) are recognized at FPA's Annual Conference.
Eligible nominees could include an FPA individual member, a financial planning firm, an FPA chapter, a professional (e.g. attorney, CPA, professor, journalist) or any other organization or individual that you believe has done extraordinary work to contribute or give back to our financial planning community and/or the public.
The P. Kemp Fain, Jr., Award is the pinnacle of recognition in the financial planning profession, honoring one exceptional individual who has made outstanding contributions to the financial planning profession. This lifetime achievement award boasts past recipients that are a literal "Who's Who" in the financial planning profession. P. Kemp Fain, Jr., was a pioneer in the financial planning profession, blazing trails in professional associations, the CFP® certification, and the profession at large. In keeping with Fain's example, nominees for the award are individuals who have made significant contributions to the financial planning profession in the areas of service to society, academia, government and professional activities.
