About the Speaker:
Sean McCarthy is the regional chief investment officer for the Southwest region of Wells Fargo Private Bank. He leads a team of investment professionals who deliver comprehensive, custom, diversified portfolio management for clients of The Private Bank. In his role, Mr. McCarthy serves as the investment thought leader in the region by providing insight and interpretation of the economy and financial markets at client events and through written commentary. He is a voting member of both the Investment Policy Committee and the Investment Solutions Committee.
Prior to his current role, Mr. McCarthy served as the regional investment manager in the Northeast. He joined Wells Fargo through predecessor firm Wachovia where he held various investment roles including lead portfolio manager, regional investment manager, and founding member of the Option Strategies Group. Before joining Wachovia in 2002, he worked for PaineWebber in Princeton, New Jersey and for Capital Analysts in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Mr. McCarthy has more than 25 years of experience in financial services.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, is a CFA® charterholder, and member of the CFA Society Phoenix. Mr. McCarthy is based in Scottsdale,
