Rob graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado.

Lee D. Cooper, CFP®, ChFC® has been in the financial services industry since 1987.  He joined the board of the FPA of Southern Arizona in 2015.  Lee has a master's degree from the University of Arizona.  Lee earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation in 1994 and his Charter Financial Consultant designation in 2002.  During the period of 2000-2008 he was an instructor at the University of Phoenix where he taught courses to students enrolled in the CFP Professional Education Program.

In addition to running his financial-planning practice at Ameriprise Financial he, also, served as a registered principal from 2001 to 2006.  He loves spending time in the wilderness.  Each year his goal is to spend 5 to 7 weeks backpacking in some America's most-beautiful and rugged wilderness areas.  Typically, 2 to 3 of the weeks are spent leading trips for Wilderness Volunteers (WV) which is a non-profit organization which "gives back" through work projects coordinated with the U.S. Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and the Bureau of Land Management.   He has led over 25 WV trips in Arizona, California, Alaska, Colorado, Texas, and Utah.

When Lee is not gone on a trip, he can be found during his weekends in Saguaro National Park East where he volunteers doing trail patrol, monitoring archaeological sites, and removing invasive plants.  Prior to moving to Tucson in 1986, Lee was an international educator which enabled him spend his early years as an industrial nomad traveling the global.
