Call agenda review and check-in 2) Logistics a. Saturday morning, Apriil 20th b. Arrive by 7:30 am c. Plan to stay until 1 pm if possible d. A coffee/tea/water station will be available e. The chapter will also stock breakfast bars (continental type breakfast) and provide some lunch fare (sandwiches/snacks) f. Location is at Rio Salado Community College Conference Center - 2323 West 14th Street, Tempe, AZ 85281 i. Plenty of free parking is available onsite 3) Who can participate/volunteer? a. For Pro Bono sessions: i. Must be a CFP® professional in good standing ii. Must be registered in advance iii. Must view the Kaplan course on Pro Bono Financial Planning (1 hour, does provide CE Credit) – honor system iv. On event day, you will sign an acknowledgement that you understand no business cards, no personal marketing can take place 1. All attendees will be informed that if they want to seek out a financial planner for future professional support, the chapter will help them connect to and utilize the FPA Find a Planner functions to identify how to make contact. v. On event day, the chapter will have forms for each Pro Bono community member to sign, acknowledging the limitations of the financial advice that can be delivered in 30 minute increments and the limits of the engagement expectations. vi. On event day, the chapter will request that you complete a summary documentation form of the conversation and recommendations made b. For event management i. Anyone can help out (non CFP’s, allied professionals, students) c. For Public Awareness Presentations i. Carefully vetted Subject Matter Experts who agree to 1. Use pre-approved course materials (no personal branding, no deviations from approved course materials) a. General sources: CFP Board of Standards, Foundation for Financial Planning, NEFE, a chapter Public Awareness team task force 2. Avoid any personal/professional marketing – their mission is education on a designated subject only a. No logos, address, website, phone number, business cards, etc. b. Attendees will be informed how the chapter can assist them in reaching out after our Pro Bono events if they wish to seek out any Subject Matter Experts 4) Event Day Itinerary a. Will be delivered to each Pro Bono Volunteer approximately 2 days ahead of the event 5) Attendees a. From the general public – random issues/questions b. Will receive pre-event reminders with materials for them to fill out (eg: basic net worth and budgeting tools, a Q&A to help us determine where their primary questions will be focused) c. Will be encouraged to attend any planned workshop that is relevant to their questions areas d. Will come and go throughout the event – some may come for all workshops, some may come only for their 30 minute Q&A session 6) Other questions? 7) Closing Round
