    Client Service Associate needed for high paced, rapidly growing investment management firm


    The Client Service Associate (CSA) role is a support position providing dedicated operational support to multiple Financial Advisors (FAs) across multiple states. This includes involvement in day-to-day office initiatives in addition to the businesses of the particular FAs. For established clients, the CSA will often serve as the most frequent point of contact.

    A successful candidate will possess impeccable attention to detail, as well as the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and with external clients. Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional client service. The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and identify when to escalate issues.

    CSA will work under direct supervision of assigned Team Leader. Candidate will have ability to take direction and be coachable. Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization with the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook. General comfort level with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software and databases.

    Job Summary:

    This position is to serve as a Wealth Management Advisor in the Wealth Management Division by effectively managing the delivery of superb wealth management and financial planning services to clients. This position focuses on business development, comprehensive financial planning, and relationship management for clients and prospects, working in conjunction with the internal team (Wealth Management Advisors, Wealth & Fiduciary Advisors, Bell Investments Wealth Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Retirement Plan Consultants, Bell Insurance Agents, as well as Commercial and Private Bankers).     Primary Duties:

    Business Development

    ·         Bell Bank Wealth Management Advisors are responsible for maintaining               and growing existing relationships and leading in the development of new             client relationships.

    ·         Duties include managing the delivery of wealth management services to the         client. This will involve maintaining regular and proactive communication             with the client, and working in consultation with the client’s other advisors.

    ·         Community involvement and professional networking are encouraged and            expected in order to foster strong relationships.

    ·         Wealth Management Advisors have a broad and deep understanding of                   sophisticated financial planning and investment strategies.

    Financial Planning

    ·         Gathering financial information and preparing presentations for prospect               and client meetings.

    Client Relationships

    ·         Coordinating financial information with client fiduciaries, attorneys, CPAs, etc.

    ·         Performing additional tasks as needed including back office, operational, and administrative tasks related to the servicing of client relationships.

    ·         Supervise the Wealth Management Advisor.

    ·         Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.

    • Understand key strategic, financial, and operational drivers of all back-office and middle-office functions. • Coordinate the operational team for onboarding new advisors and advisor teams. • Manage staffing, work schedules, and monitoring of multiple call/workflow queues to ensure department standards and company guidelines are achieved and exceeded. • Work closely with the COO and make tactical recommendations related to the allocation of resources in an effort to ensure adherence to high service level standards. • Identify and resolve operational and compliance issues that may arise during daily activities. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with service teams for the firm’s custodians to tackle time-sensitive issues. • Complete special projects and assist with writing communications to the field on operational enhancements. Participate in presentations as needed. • Identify process improvements and coordinate with COO and CCO to implement the solutions in an effort to build efficiencies and increase productivity. • Develop and implement best-practice processes related to the firm’s operations and in support of the firm’s other departments including client data, employee changes, and investment functions including portfolio accounting and trading.

    • Develop written procedures when system changes are implemented. • Serve as a Team Leader and assist with escalated issues, manage call escalations from clients and advisors. Manage high-profile complaint requests. • Assist with the review and principal approval of new account applications. • Develop strong networks and relationships among stakeholders and all members of the firm to create operational efficiencies. • Identify and resolve operational and compliance issues which may arise during daily activities.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and an innate ability to build immediate rapport with financial/wealth advisors, company leaders and colleagues

    • Developed understanding or the ability to quickly learn the operational details of advisory business (e.g., RIA) functions (IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance, etc.)

    • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

    The Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University is seeking a full-time faculty member for Finance, Financial Planning (open to all ranks). The position provides instruction that incorporates practitioner knowledge, teaching methodologies, current technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the disciplines of finance. 

    PLEASE NOTE: This position will be based on our Main Campus in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 9-month position and will have an anticipated start date of August 1st, 2021.


    • Creates a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board registered program including receiving initial accreditation from the CFP Board.
    • Develops CFP related coursework including a Test Preparation Capstone course.
    • Maintains ongoing CFP Board accreditation.
    • Develops and supports business relationships and corporate sponsorships related to the field of Financial Planning. 
    • Assists students with careers in Financial Planning.
    • Prepares and delivers lectures to undergraduate and graduate students within the prescribed curriculum.
    • Stimulates class discussions and facilitates learning in the on-ground or online classroom.
    • Assesses student performance in accordance with University Assessment Practices.
    • Remains current in the field of financial planning and effective teaching techniques. 
    • Maintains four course teaching load each semester.
    • Participates in faculty and Colangelo College of Business meetings and College/University committee activities.
    • Performs other duties as directed by the Dean, Colangelo College of Business, centered on teaching, service, and scholarship.
    • Supports the integrity of the GCU mission and educational learning outcomes.


    • PhD in Financial Planning or related business discipline is preferred or MBA/Financial Planning graduate degree.
    • CFP Certification - currently meets the Certified Financial Planner Board's initial and ongoing requirements.
    • Previous experience in developing and managing a CFP Board registered program is preferred; to include creating the coursework to fulfill the requirements of CFP certification.
    • Post-secondary experience teaching Financial Planning courses.   
    • Significant (5+ years desired), documented, industry experience in the field of Financial Planning is required.
    • Ability and experience teaching across disciplines (i.e., economics, accounting, etc.) is a plus. 
    • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

    The Client Service Associate position is an integral component of the LifeManaged team and the overall growth and success of our firm. The role will include routine duties of setting up new client accounts, processing paperwork and simplifying the client onboarding experience.
